Andy, Congratulations on completing your 2nd marathon. I can't

relate very much to your chagrin at " only " managing 3:27. My only

race ever was a 5K and it was rough. I'm hoping to do it again this

September and am focusing my treadmill workouts in that direction.

Also a very BIG congratulations on the marriage. IT IS

WONDERFUL!!! Good luck in marriage, BFL, and the marathons.

Congrats on the marathon finish (part 2). I just ran my first mini

about a month ago, with a time of 2:07:56. I have begun training

for my first marathon, which will be this fall. I plan to run the

Air Force Marathon up in Dayton. Since I'm headed to active duty

for a couple months, I'll have access to a gym and a 5 mile track so

there won't be no excuse for not getting the workouts in along with

the healthy eating that I've promised myself once and for all I am

going to do. Sooooo, maybe you can come run the AF marathon too :)

Are you going to be one of those guys who tries to run one in every

state?

Of course, I did notice you only mentioned the marriage in passing

and spent the rest of the time talking about the marathon...LOL.

Hi Andy!

Welcome back and congrats on the nuptials and the marathon. I can't

believe this is only your second marathon and you are running a 3:27.

That is amazing. I do understand though that you are dissappointed

you didn't reach your goals. Interestingly, a friend of mine is also

shooting for a 3:10 marathon. I guess for his age group, he needs a

3:15 to qualify for the Boston and he figures it is best to shoot for

the 3:10 in order to qualify. May I ask the name of the yahoo runners

group you are member of because I know he was seeking an internet

outlet to discuss his running. Right now he is doing some stuff with

heartrate based on this article he read: http://www.ffh.us/cn/hadd.htm

Anyway, big time congratulations on the wedding. I hope you have a

long, happy, and healthy lives together!

Hi Andy!

Congrats on running the marathon! Sorry you didn't make your goal

time-wise, but all that wedding-related partying probably did you

in. (hehe) I'm so happy for you and Hugh! Hugs to both of you, and

hope to see pics from the wedding soon! (and the marathon, lol)

Cheers,

Thanks everyone for the congrats on the marathon and the marriage.

The pics are at http://www.emersonguys.com/andy/myalbums.htm

I just uploaded these last night. I think you can look at them

without signing in. They are one of the recent albums at the top. You

just can't do a slide show unless you have an account. If you have a

problem and want to see them let me know and I can give you an account

an password to use.

3:10 was my goal since 3:15 is my Boston Qualifier which I missed by

only 4 minutes for my first marathon and it was hilly. I guess I need

to try that course again this year. It's in September. Today, my

legs are feeling normal and recovered again.

Yay!! Thanks for the link Andy! You both look so happy (well in

Yay!! Thanks for the link Andy! You both look so happy (well in

most of the photos, some of them you look like hurry up and take this

picture already, lol). Congrats again to both of you! I love

weddings... I was a little sniffly just looking at the pics. hehe

I think she is also becoming the alpha cat. She pushed herself right

into the alpha-cat's bowl last night so we are going to have to feed

her first. Looks like we have a new alpha-cat. Fortunately, the

former alpha-cat looks like she is accepting her new position.
