My son is 5 years old within ASD spectrum. From the last urine amino

acids test we learned that his Beta-Alanine is very high 40 (range

max is 10). We also have taurine very high 1970 (range 200 -

1000). Carnosine is also high 160 vs. < 100.

It is my understanding that because of high Beta-Alanine, Taurine is

wasted and DPP IV activity is reduced (inhibited). In addition

My son's AA test also shows high Beta-alanine as well as taurine although his

ammonia wasn't high but he does have bad bacteria in the gut, too. I would

also be interested in your comments about this.
