Ok, so I've got two dates of comps in my area that have figure in

addition to bb-ing. The first one is about 16 weeks out, August 6th,

which is too soon IMO. I would like to be no more than 17-19% BF at

the 12-week-pre-comp mark, and I seriously doubt I could hit that in

4 weeks (I was 24% still 2 weeks ago, prolly less now but not sure of

the current number until measurement this weekend). I might be able

to hit 17-19%BF in 4 weeks depending on what the BF% numbers are this

weekend... but I feel a little more confident in the next date which

is 21 weeks out, September 10th.

So I'll definitely attend the 1st one as a spectator and plan to

actually enter the 2nd one as a competitor (scary!!!! *bites nails in

nervousness*). I'm finishing up this 12-week challenge on Sunday and

will jump into a shorter 9-week challenge on Monday. This way I can

do full-on contest prep for 12 weeks before the comp I'm actually

entering.

Before anyone squawks about a rest week, remember that I did

an " active rest " week in the middle of this challenge already (just

did moderate cardio every day, laid off the weights). I'll probably

do the same thing for this next 9-weeker, take one week as an active

rest week to give my bod some time to recover. Then contest-prep is

gonna be killer, gung-ho, all-out effort for 12 weeks. Whew!

That is all for now folks, we now return you to your regularly

scheduled programming.

Cheers,

Jen B.

P.S. , send me the link for the 'ho shoes, will ya? I actually

have a pair of semi-ho shoes already but I think I need the 6-inchers

and all I have are 4-inchers. ;) I prolly shouldn't have admitted

that on the internet, LOL!
