Guest guest
, Welcome back!! Glad to hear you decided to do another challenge. Getting up at 5:30 can to work out can be very hard. But your body should adjust to the new time schedule after a week or so. Don't try to stay up as late as you use to, this should eliminate the nap. I haven't experienced surgery or chemo, but I know a couple people on this list have!! They should be able to give you some guidance. I would just suggest that you listen to your body and do what it is telling you. Good Luck and let us know how that 5k turns out. My husband and I completed the 1st one...then stopped working out. I think I was in two other challenges after that. The last one I started was spring of 2002. I was so tired...I just couldn't do the work. I found out that I had breast cancer during that challenge. So I quit working out (SILLY). I also quit eating the way prescribed...but I have to tell you I was scared and wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing > > Anyway, this year has been incredible and I have learned a lot about myself and what I want for my life. > > I am signed up to begin another challenge and will start on Monday officially...and do walking and eating right in the meantime. Guest guest
Hi, good to have you back on the list! I know what you mean by being tired. I've found that I can't go to bed as late as I used to or lack of sleep catches up with me. I prefer working out in the morning so if I don't get to bed by 9 pm I won't get enough sleep. As long as exercise is cleared with your doctor, I don't see a problem. There will always be obstacles to working out. We just have to work around them. Good luck with your challenge!
