Guest guest
Nikki, I wish you great success with this program. I know it can change your life for the better. I would suggest you start out by documenting all your reasons why you want to make this successful. Be sure to follow Bill 's suggestion on writing up your dreams and your goals. Write them up with specific time lines and milestones, break them into weekly goals, if possible. You may not hit each goal you make along the way, but you can use this to help keep you moving forward with your progress. Also, be sure to take that beginning photograph. Even if you don't plan on showing it to anyone. Keep it for yourself. I did NOT take my initial photo and really regret not having that as a memory (albeit bad) of where I started. I took my first " official " photo after losing my first 80+ pounds. It works as a good reminder, but I know it just doesn't have the same impact as REALLY seeing my original body. My view and memory of myself in the mirror is just not the same as what a photo would have shown. Again, I miss not having that beginning photo. Get that done! Then, simply follow the program. And, as you do, remember my simple mantra... " Progress, not perfection! " None of us are perfect and we all screw up at times. ...And not just within this BFL program. If and when this happens to you, just recognize the mishap, get back on your horse and continue moving forward. Celebrate your progress, celebrate occasionally finding ways that don't work for you, but most of all, learn from these activities. What works and what doesn't work will vary person by person and within each person it may vary from one challenge to another. Do it, learn it, and most of all, share it! Welcome! -- Remember... Guest guest
Welcome Nikki! You sound like you are really ready to do it this time, so congrats to you for making the decision to build YOUR best body!! You have a definite metabolic advantage being so young, but there are people of all ages who have made amazing tranformations with BFL. I agree with 's advice on the goal-setting. In my opinion, setting meaningful, powerful goals is the single most important factor in success in any fitness program. Staying focused on those goals is what will keep you going when you just don't feel like working out or fixing your healthy meals. Read them EVERY SINGLE DAY, without fail!!!! I can't emphasize how important this is. Also, when you set your goals, make them challenging but realistic. Don't expect to lose 30 pounds in your first 12-week challenge. Slow, steady progress is what you are aiming for... and try to keep in mind the big picture too. If you don't make any progress for a week or two, try to keep in mind your *total* progress to date and know that every workout and every healthy meal is one more " brick " in the " house of health " that you are building. Sometimes things are changing on the inside and the outside (appearance) takes a little while to catch up. Cheers, Jen B. > > My name is Nikki i am 24 yrs old.
