Guest guest
New research suggests that surgery patients who get cold run a higher risk of post-op infections. A drop in body temperature can affect blood clotting and other activities. Stanford Dr. said " when your cold, infection fighting white blood cells don't work efficiently." They suggest using a warm blanket system. The " Bair Hugger" is available at most hospitals for roughly $10. per operation. Also - here's a news story that will crack up the women in our group. "Mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming " were found to be " most tiring of household chores." This *enlightening* study was done and paid for by Cornell University.
