Guest guest
I got home from work yesterday and my wife surprised me. She has been reading the BFL for women book. She had mentioned earlier about participating in a 12-week challenge. Well............. She went out and purchased a 2-piece bathing suit, the cheapest she could find. She is ready to take 'before' pictures. I think it is great. Bruce
Guest guest
One is the hardcover, and one is an abridged audio of the book - I wondered how they could come out with two books at the same time - funny they renamed the audio to be different - kinda sneeky! C. Re: Wife getting serious?? I wasn't aware of the book, Body for Life for Women until you mentioned it. I see it is by Crawford (forward) and Dr. Pam Peeke. I assume Bill publishing company had something to do with this book. I hope it does well. There's one book called Body for Life for Women: A Woman's Plan for Physical and Mental Transformation and then Body for Life for Women : 12 Weeks to a Firm, Fit, Fabulous Body at Any Age. You can buy them as a set on Amazon. These are geared specifically toward women. Might be worth checking out for any women in the group. Guest guest
Yeah, I remember when my wife started out. She wanted me to guide her and help her along. We both still follow the BFL program, but, now, she HATES if I say anything about the weights or form, so we are hitting the equipment at different times. The real fun for me started when she wanted to take turns on the Machine. Nothing like loading up 400 to 600 pounds for calf raises and then having to remove it to reload with 40 to 60 pounds, then reloading the heavy, then unloading... Just loading and unloading plates was an upper body workout. I guess I'm happy we can workout together, but, I'm just as happy that we now don't. ...And I think she is much happier. Guest guest
Reminds me of a quote I heard just the other day... J.P. said, " A man always has two reasons for doing anything --a good reason and the real reason. " Now there is inspiration!
