Guest guest
This is really true. Personally, I have studied and used herbs for years, and have gone to herbalists, probably more so than the average person. But nothing gets my back up more than than seeing the various fads as one herb or another gains popularity as a new cure-all for what ails you. I also get cranky when someone uses the phrase " healing properties " . One person's " healing properties " can be another person's poison. A recent example for me was one of my students with an auto-immune disease had a " friend " recommend echinacea to boost the immune system. That type of ignorant advice can do real harm. I guess it's the same way I feel about all those folks out there pushing " all-natural " lotions and creams. In their zeal and ignorance they can do real harm. Joanne Harper's Garden -----Original Message----- Oh I will prob get mail on this one, but I have seen too many selling JUNK and calling it natural or healing. And I am a " naturalist " .... but I hate the misuse in this area.

Guest guest
Hello Everyone, Im eric and have been suffering from what i assume is 4 S. I have been talking to two head doc's about it and as fascinating as it is, like everyone else they keep going through OCD and ADD meds that isnt helping me very much. The day after Christmas i went to wal-mart to buy some food for dinner and it seemed EVERYONE was chewing gum so i left my cart so i could get to my car and go home and calm down. As i started my car someone was driving down the wrong way almost hit me smiled (apologetically now that i look back) but was chewing gum and i took it very personal slammed on the breaks and tried to chase him down but a car was a little faster than i was. As soon as i got home i was still steamed and turned on the football game. The bears were on tv and they kept showing Jim Belushi on the side lines chomping on his gum and then i finally lost my temper smashed my computer and a few other little things 5 minutes later i felt fine again and back to my normal self. I told my doc's and they are giving me anger management courses as well as upped the celexa dosage. The only thing that i have found to try to help me stay calm is always having my ipod with me and listening to relaxing music. Is there anything i can mention to my doc's to change habits that have failed everyone else? It was emberassing what happened i felt like a rabid caged animal finally being released but not being able to control my anger that day extremely scary. Thank you for letting me vent
Guest guest
Well I can sympathize with you- my almost 14 year old daughter reacts like you. Last night after a blow up she was pounding on her little sister- I almost flipped had to get her off of her. Her sister was not the cause- but she was flipping from a public event at her school that we left. At dinner she freaked said we were chewing like pigs- but we were just eating so she shoved her plate and refused to eat - called us names the rest of the meal. IT was very embarassing. She freaks and flips and also wears her ipod almost 24/7. Side note we found at Old Navy zip up sweat shirts that in the pocket have a cord to put your ipod in and then the ties for the hood are the ear phones!!!!!!! It basically makes your music hidden!!!! I bought her 3!!!!!! She too sees drs and has been given tons of meds- none helps. In School she is seperated now into a private room with a tutor because they allow gum in her school! > > Hello Everyone, > > Im eric and have been suffering from what i assume is 4 S.
