Guest guest
Anyone running any 5Ks this weekend? We have the St. 's Day 5K to run. It's always a huge race here, about 700 people the last 2 years. I'm hoping to beat my time from last year and place in the top 25. Last year I was placed 34th. The year before I was 27th and a slightly better time so I think it can be done! I ran a 5K on Feb 7th and had a horrible time, but it was only 11 degrees outside and I don't run well in extreme cold. Andy
Guest guest
It isn't supposed to be raining here at the time of the race, but temp will be about 40 degrees with wind chill in the low 30s. I guess I can't complain. I'm trying to remember and I think I've only ran 1 race in the rain and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I don't like running a race at less than 30 degrees. Andy > I'm debating. We have the Blarney Run this weekend but the weather isn't > looking so hot... > Terri

Guest guest
I've seen 1 mile fun runs that usually take place at a 5K. That would be a 1.6K. 1/2 K is only 0.3 miles. I'm sure you could handle that, don't you think? Here in Missouri, we have the Show Me state games each summer and you can run all kinds of distances. Andy > Man... you guys are getting me inspired!
