Guest guest
Ann, I am not sure exactly what all they looked for with the MRI. I know they were concerned with the brain stem. They mailed us some documentation after we got home on what they were looking for - it was something I had never heard of and I can't remember what it was off hand. Can they look at the cranial nerves from an MRI and determine anything? The only thing they told us was that everything looked entirely normal - they didn't see anything unusual at all. I would love to know if she does have the cranial nerve problem contributing to her swallowing difficulties. The neurologist told us based on what he saw, he fully expected her to eventually learn to swallow once the secretions diminished and we did therapy for long enough.....I hope he's right. I too wonder why they have so many secretions.... Bradley
