Specialist implentation of IMP

I am new to the IMP / Micro practice scene. After being an associate at a large high overhead clinic I am getting ready to start my own practice and this sounds absolutely like the way to go. Everything I have been reading about is from a family practice / PCP standpoint. Are there any specialists out there implementing this model? I am a podiatrist, and would like to know what specific challenges a specialist would have with a micro practice. The big difference I see is new patients. While new patients can be limited, they always have to more coming in. Any suggestions?
