Hi All, Much like when registering here on the Yahoo Board, please remember that you do not need to supply your real name or anything that links to your identity when registering. (except it will ask for your birthdate at a later stage, this is for a script that will allow you access to the adult section of the board based on the date you enter to try and protect young eyes.) Although there are two main sections to the forum ( Public and Private) it is still the internet and stealing identities or personal information is possible. Its good practice to use a pseudo name like SilenceSeeker and never submit your personal details to anyone that you do not know or do not trust. The registration screen will ask for your real email address ( this is just to confirm your user ID so you can use the forum) but I have altered the forum to stop your email address being shown directly. People can still email you (through the forum) but cant access your email directly. My personal email is richatd.t.mckenna@... but when you click on email on the forum it will not show that email address instead it will take you to a page like this: What do you guys think about this? I am looking for plug ins to allow each user to hide their email address if you wish, and if you prefer I can allow users to have access to your email ( like they can here) with the ability for personal discretion ( to hide or not to hide) if you like. More changes to come and remember, you guys are in the drivers seat. If you have any ideas or suggestions please feel free to post them here in the yahoo group or on the Forum, maybe a good place to post some ideas is in this topic. http://www.soundsensitivity.info/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=20 & t=66 I am going to send out one more email on the website tonight then that’s it for tonight I promise.
