Guest guest Posted August 21, 2009 Report Share Posted August 21, 2009 I take a shower after saunaing. I skin brush prior to getting into the sauna. If I could get a massage from someone just after the shower, it would be ideal. I take 1-2 grams vitamin C just prior or in the sauna plus cal, mag, other vitamins or daily vitamins is good to take just prior. I drink lots of water while in the sauna. The sauna doesn't work as well on a full stomach as on an empty stomach. I do not let myself get overheated in the sauna, I get out before that. I get out if I feel sick at all. We have a tradtional along with the FIR. I crank them all. I crack the door to keep the room from getting over 160. My cats come in and out and sauna with me and also my kids, the opening and shutting of the door keeps it from getting too hot, as long as they are quick getting in and out.
