Subject: RE: ( ) More on: Another case of hyperactivity

n,

I do not know if he is celiac, I have managed to lower the amount of

gluten with

gluten free breakfasts and with trying more and more gluten free, milk

free, soy

free dinners as a lead up to establishing a gfcfsf diet. He still has

bread for

lunch and biscuits some days for before bedtime. I noticed that he is a

lot more

calm since he has less gluten, less milk and less phenolic foods. But

non of

these has been well and thoroughly removed from his diet yet.

I never thought he would be celiac. What are the classic symptoms? Maybe

I need

to get him tested. What would be the first test to establish suspect (do

not

want to start with the biopsy). He does not have diarrhoea, he is rather

mildly

constipated.

He said that he did not feel bad while hyper, in fact he said he was not

hyper.

But he was. No headache, no complaints from his part. We just saw him

jumping

and bouncing and twirling around.

So, in what circumstances do you suspect that somebody is celiac?

Elvira,

Is there any chance he is celiac? If he is, he is going to have strong

reactions to all gluten infractions, even with a small amount of Pep.

At

least that's my current thinking and that of some others on the list.

The bad news is no one wants to be celiac. The good news is it's much

better

to know the truth and take appropriate steps, as in get rid of ALL

gluten.

I'm no expert--just someone who apparently is celiac also, as shown by

my

reactions to taking Pep.

I am not n, but here is what I know. You can check the

information on this link.

http://www.celiac.com/index.html

This is the same site I gave you the DH link from before. It gives

standard symptoms, tests, etc. But all people are different, for

example some celiacs are overweight even tho the majority are

underweight, some celiacs have constipation even tho the majority

have diarrhea, etc.

You can start with a blood test, but the bowel biopsy can give you a

confirmation, if you want a confirmation.
