Guest guest
Oh the horror! This past weekend I had to listen to a visitor repeat the word, " anyway, " about three times a minute for four days straight. And she'd say it in this nasaly sing-song voice which made it worse. I wanted to gouge my ears out! It's so weird that just a simple word can become a trigger sound. Just the repetition of any sound can put me over the top. Do you all find that repetition is a big part of what makes a 4S trigger? Also -- wondered -- does anyone here feel that they fit the Sensory Defensive disorder? I am disturbed by repetitive visuals (shaking legs, wiggly feet, etc.), scratchy or confining clothing and some strong odors too. I think one big reason that sounds bother me the most is that I can't get away from them as easily. I have no control over them (earplugs don't work for me and headphones only partially block sound out).
