I have clearly written in my privacy policy and my new patient forms (that they

sign )that explictly states the patient gives me permission to leave a message

with whoever answers the phone at the numbers they give me, lets me send them

postcards for reminders, normals labs etc and unencrypted email.

No one has ever even blinked at signing it.

Of course, common sense dictates what I would tell a pt using the above.
