Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My dd started LDN in September. Did great with it from the get go. Started at one line and slowly moved her up to 5 lines by the beginning of Jan. Much improved stools (almost entirely eliminated diarrhea) and reduced anxiety. Just generally happy & content. She got strep in early December and was treated with antibiotics. I don't have the info here, but I want to say it was Keflex?? Something like that. Little bit of diarrhea, but not too bad. OK behaviorally. Then she got strep again 2 weeks ago. Treated with the same antibiotic. Lots of diarrhea this time. Much worse over past 3-4 days, so I was thinking yeast. But at the same time puzzled since we are on a major yeast protocol and have been since November. Then weird behaviors & very out of sorts yesterday. Moody and on edge in a way that we haven't seen in forever. Today she completely lost it. Raging, totally " stuck " on the fact that she didn't want to take a bath, which she usually loves to do. Screaming 500 times " I DON'T WANT TO TAKE A BATH!!!!!! " She also kept trying to claw at her face, which we used to see long ago. Kept going even as I tried to calm her. Just could not reach her. She was totally irrational. Called my neighbor where dd spent 1/2 hour this afternoon. Asked her if she noticed anything different, but I did not lead her. First word she used to describe dd today - obsessive. So, I just finished reading all of my saved PANDAs posts and I'll be calling our DAN! tomorrow to get the necessary testing done. Dr. JM, you posted to the LDN list in the fall about the importance of shoring up the immune system, beyond any of the more common PANDAs medications like Zithromax or Bicillin Injections. Would you suggest adding Actos on top of LDN, especially given the anti-inflammatory properties of Actos? Any other ideas? One parent posted and suggested IV Glutathione. We have recently bought an HBOT and we were planning on starting next week. Good idea or not? Also, we have not chelated yet. I have been on the fence because she is so close to NT behaviorally/on the surface. I am now thinking I need to get over my concerns and just get the metals out before her health takes any more blows. Do we need to wait on that until we get the PANDAs under control, if that's what we're looking at? Sorry if I am jumping the gun before we have lab results. I am under the impression that it is best to jump on PANDAs ASAP. Thanks in advance for any help, Dawn dd - 7 years old 150% GF/CF/Egg Free + Feingold LDN MB-12 Injections TD-NAC Loads of Supps from a good DAN!
