Pre or post? Attack are not necessarily accompanied by jaundice. Bilirubin will generally increase, but the increase may not be noticeable as jaundice, e.g. 0.6 to 1.1 Total Bilirubin. My major symptom was the onset of a sudden fever, sometimes with chills, feeling cold and shivering in a room that an hour ago was comfortable. The fevers would be accompanied with flu-like aches and general malaise. But they wouldn't last long, for me about a day. Then my temperature would plummet and I'd be sweating and throwing off the blankets. Guest guest
Hi ..the itching can be all over or more localized...But I don't remember that it comes with any sores or scabs.....Tyler has mostly gotten the itching on the palms of his hands and the bottom of his feet....we will catch him rubbing them on the couch ...doesn't even now he is doing it sometimes.....But then there are times that he pretty much itches all over..... Hope you are eating well...I think when you first were on here you talked about not being a very good eater..... I have read all your posts about getting more info out on PSC and web sites....I know very little about the computer...enough to get me on line and get info on things I need....many medical...but then again my time is very limited. I am glad that you are so active here.... Luanne Ty's mom
Guest guest
, I will answer the cholangitis question as it happened to me. I have never been jaundiced but had an ongoing case of cholangitis for about 7 months. The doctors kept thinking I had indigestion but finally figured out what I needed. My main symptom was pain/discomfort in the RUQ. In my case I would be fine in the morning and the pain/discomfort would appear in late afternoon and continue through the evening. In the morning I would be fine again. I probably had a fever as I would get very hot but the times I took my temp it was normal. When do you see the doctor? That's the clue for me that it's really itching due to the liver, rather than just dry skin or something... It does occur sporadically elsewhere too. Actually the itching in my hands and feet was about the first symptom I noticed... after that I noticed the jaundice etc... athan

With me I'd get sores simply from itching so much. I finally started slapping the itchy spots instead of scratching. It didn't really help much but then neither does itching. It didn't tear up my skin so ...Tyler has mostly gotten the itching > on the palms of his hands and the bottom of his feet....we will catch him > rubbing them on the couch I do this too! Guest guest
Ty's 18 right? The scabs are due to the itching... I just wondered if the itching was usually very localized [so as to cause a scab from itching so much] or not... When you said it's usually 'all-over' does that mean he itches here... and there.. and there.. and here.. or is it like 'I ITCH ALL OVER' > > Hi ..the itching can be all over or more localized...But I don't remember > that it comes with any sores or scabs.....Tyler has mostly gotten the itching > on the palms of his hands and the bottom of his feet....we will catch him > rubbing them on the couch ...doesn't even now he is doing it > sometimes.....But then there are times that he pretty much itches all > over..... > Hope you are eating well...I think when you first were on here you talked > about not being a very good eater..... > I have read all your posts about getting more info out on PSC and web > sites....I know very little about the computer...enough to get me on line and > get info on things I need....many medical...but then again my time is very > limited. > I am glad that you are so active here.... > Luanne Ty's mom

I understand there is medication to neutralize the whatevers in your blood stream. What sort of severity of the prurites would justify someone taking these medications? Do ya know?
