Guest guest
Hi, had a disappointed day. Drove two hrs to the pain clinic for a lumbar epidural steroid injection. When I got there the MD had me down as a new patient, didn't have a clue as to what tsc was so, I had to explain to him. Besides he wasn't the MD I was supposed to have seen on recomemendation by my neurologist. This MD told me that I shouldn't have the epidural and I told him that's the same statement that was told to me over a year ago but, I figured their opinion had changed. Mind you I had told this same statement to my neurologist a few weeks ago. So now it's another waiting game to have an evaluation with the MD I was to see to begin with and the MD today said that epidural steroid injection wouldn't work for me and he suggested neurostimulation inplant to help control my pains and increase my quality of life. Has anybody had this inplant done? My pain med Vicodin is not helping and I don't do well (physically) with stronger Morphine type medications. I've either built up an resistence to the Vicodin, neurologist states that I maybe re- tethering again or developing more scar tissue in the arachnoid spaces. All I know is the pains are getting worse and I dread going to work each passing day and now I have to play the waiting game again. Take care, gloria
