Jerry,

Have your skin problems gone away? I still get irritated rough spots. They itch and burn after sun exposure. But even on my hips the skin is scaly and rough. It not a big thing but it would be great not to have the spots.

I also take Rebif and aside from a few minor skin reactions when I first started it, it has been the best one for me so far. Its always worth looking into.

Rebif is injected three times a week. I do Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is a subq injection and does have an autoinjector that I really like. No seeing the needle. Just load it in and push the button. I didn’t have any problem adjusting. I always take 2 Tylenol right before and go to bed not long after.

Hope this helps,

Connie

I've gotten several replies that more people have switched to Rebif. How often are those injections? Does it take a long time also to adjust to the meds?

Thanks for the input.

Does anyone else suffer from constant hot flashes from the Betaseron? It is killing me - no matter what I am on fire. Which doesn't help things w/ MS. I am having such a hard time w/ the flu symptoms of the betaseron. I am on I think month 3 and on the night of the last shot I woke my husband up crying in my sleep from the pain. The pain was sooooo bad in every joint and every muscle that I could hardly stand it - that's after going to sleep w/vicodin. I ended up trying to take a bath at 2:30 in the morning and it didn't help much. I feel like things are really kicking my butt these days with this. I know my family is probably getting tired of hearing me complain ---but I am just floored lately w/how bad I've been feeling. I've suffered from MS for 14-15 years and it is just getting worse - the attacks seem to be hitting different.I'll stop rambling - just looking for advice on handling betaseron side effects. Thanks, Deao
