Hello everyone,

I visited with Laurie last night. I was so upset yeterday. I was to meet

her in the diagnostic, well.....they told me she was in the MRI area, not

there either! They had me on a darn goose chase!!! After 45 minutes of

running all over the hospital I gave up. I was hot!!!! Come to find out she

was in Diag area the whole time. There were about 5 receptionist in that

area, I knew I should have asked all of them! Geezzzz

This is all I have so far: They suspect the pelvic area is the culprit and

her ovaries.

They are going to do a larposcopy at noon today but may need to do actual

surgery if they have to go in deeper into the area. They need to find the

cancer. Once they pin point it they will determine a plan of attack. We

will not know anything until Thurs or Friday. Her husband came in last night

to be with her for today:) I feel better about that. I will keep you

posted. She said she would call me tonight if she was feeling up to it.

SIncerely,

....when they took a sample of the fluid build up in Mikes stomach it

was full of free floating cancer cells....he was also placed on a morphine

drip....they tapped his stomach to remove the fluid, but his bilirubin

wasn't that high....his kidney's started to shut down and his blood pressure

dropped and he advanced into a coma like state... All within a week.

I think its great that your making the trip, but know it will be difficult.

Please tell her I care deeply.
