Guest guest
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Does smoking bother the gall bladder? I found out some really stressful news on Friday and started smoking after quitting for a year and a half. Ever since then I have had a dull pain in my gall bladder area. At least it was something ibuprofen could take care of and did not need a shot of morphine like last time. I am resolved to quit again after I see what smoking has done to my digestive tract just after a couple of days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I was going to do the cleans but my doctor warned me that it would interfere wiyh the psychiatric meds I am taking for manic depression. Any thoughts on this? Thanks for you anticipated help, Janice >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Janice; Sorry you're having these multiple difficulties. The smoking would certainly have some effect regarding the liver and gallbladder as well as the lungs and other parts of the body. We live in a world where the oxygen supply is already low and causing many to have to deal with various disease because of it. Smoking introduces more CO2 which the body is already attempting to be rid when breathing normally. Now as regards how it deals with the liver and gallbladder one thing oxygen does is to help keep down the incidence of bile stones by helping the bile salts be as emulsive as it can be. As an example of this just leaving a bile stone in air will cause it to melt because of the oxidative effect the oxygen will have on the stone, at least in the case of bile stones. Other stones with greater calcification from other things like pigment can be harder to breakdown but thankfully the diet we eat tends to favor the cholesterol type of stone, if that's of any really great relief. While working on getting rid of my gallstones I was using oxygen therapy which certainly required getting more oxygen to the cells and not less as smoking will tend to do. By using oxygen and making it a medical grade of ozone it helps to provide the organs a richer amount of oxygen without having the lungs deal with it. It can be provided by way of the skin, by drinking ozone enriched water, or by rectal insufflation after or during certain methods of bowel cleansing. This is just one of the things I did and continue to do to maintain the health I've been able to reacquire. Plus I haven't had a cigarette for over twenty years now. I can't say that I've quit because it's more like alcohol in that you simply go without for a time period. Now as regards your doctor's statement. This has got to be one of the most ignorant types of statements that can be made regarding bowel, gallbladder or liver cleansing. It's absolutely preposterous to say that cleansing the body will interfere with a psychiatric drug. It would appear to me that you would be doing your mental health a lot more good by finding a doctor who has a greater understanding of the synergetics of the body whole, that is, the heart, mind and body. Perhaps the real problem is the liver isn't getting the nourishment that's needed to overcome various toxicities and thereby causing the mood swings you may be experiencing. Take a look at this site and see if any of the questions match your particular situation. Many people can be helped to deal with a lot of various psyciatric problems just by changing the things they eat. The change is from foods that toxifiy to foods that enrich the liver and the body as a whole unit. http://www.liverdoctor.com/liverquestionnaire.shtml Dale
