Patti, you don't have to get a bank loan. Anybody who wants lobster should be

glad to pay you for it if you will buy and ship it. I go to

RI every year and could bring back lobster, but I have never cooked a live

lobster and don't plan to start. I don't mind eating it. I

just can't be around when they are being cooked. Supposedly, they die quickly

and are not in pain, but . . . .

I know what you mean, I can't eat trout or any fish that I saw being caught

and then cleaned......I actually try not to think of the demise of anything

that I eat and find myself more and more cutting back on meat because of

it....

however, I DO love lobster but like you refuse to part of it's ending!!

See, now I'm thinking about it.....

hmmmm

My brother-in-law took some animal sciences courses a few years ago, and

in one of them the teacher said that in the past they had always taken

the class to tour a poultry slaughterhouse, but they stopped because

they always converted the entire class to vegetarians every year!

Hi all,

Hope all is well with all of you.

I feel the same way about lobster. I don't find it so appetizing to

take an animal apart and eat it. Maybe I would like it better if it

was taken apart for me. Um give me shrimp though. I love it. My

father-in-law says I eat it like a man(that means I'm not shy about

eating it till there is no more). Hehe.

I wish I knew how to pack the lobster so it would stay alive long

enough to those of you who can't get it when and if the lobstering

picks up for my father-in-law. They have taken them to Portugal

before. All they did was wrap them in newspaper and carry them on

the plane with them and they survived more than 12 hrs like that.

I'm not sure if they used dry ice though. Maybe we could try it.

When my father-in-law is catching a lot he is very generous with them

he gives them to neighbors and friends at xmas. I don't think he

could afford to do it this year.

Take care,
