Guest guest
Gena, I can definitely relate. When I get home from work late in the evening, and sit and watch TV, I can hear the thumping of the bass from the bar on the main street. I turn the TV sound on mute, and it's hard to hear it. I hear it more, or FEEL it, like you say, when the TV is on. So I get up and open my front door and stick my head out and yup, it's the damn bar. The police chief told me I should call them every time the bar gets too loud (because there's a noise ordinance - what a joke!!!). Last Saturday I called twice, the second time inviting them up onto my porch so they could hear it like I do. But I didn't want to alienate my neighbors (the bar serves patrons that have more in common with some of my neighbors than with me), so I met the cop on the street. He was sitting in his car and told me that he was parked right behind the bar and didn't hear anything! Then I told him if he would turn off the car he could hear it. I went back inside after he turned off his car, I'm so disgusted. Young, stupid scared cop. Now there's a FOR SALE sign on my lawn.
