Guest guest
A 1/2 capsule with dinner doesn't seem like enough to cause that reaction, but I would err on the side of caution and stop it for a few days, then try again. Has she ever done this behavior before and when? Also, I am hearing of so many sick kids right now, maybe she really does just have a headache, but I would still be cautious with the enzymes because I simply could not stand to see my child hitting his head. If you don't want to stop for a day or two, I would try even a smaller dose of 1/4 capsule. Maybe someone else can offer you more advice. --- In @y..., DeEtte Person <annarebecca85259@y...> wrote: > Hello. Could be that, or could be a nasty reaction to a low level of gluten in her diet. Guest guest
For high fat meals, 2 or 3 Zyme Prime may be needed to handle the additional triglyderides. I'm also wondering if such a small dose of Peptizyde would really have that much of an effect? you may want to try 1 cap with 2 meals per day, see if some resolution occurs. Guest guest
Dana -- but on the ketogenic diet, I really don't think gets much, if any gluten. She basically eats, eggs, chicken, fish, butter, mayonnaise (made with canola oil), cream, celery, zucchini, cucumbers, carrots, strawberries, peanut butter and madedemia nuts. Do any of these sound like gluten culprits?--D *** Could be that, or could be a nasty reaction to a low level of gluten in her diet. I have this sort of reaction with miniscule amounts of gluten when I also use Pep.
Guest guest
Devin -- Thanks. I was understanding you to say it was the Zyme Prime, too. I also remember you saying that perhaps the Peptizyde wasn't needed. I just wanted to try it because our doc had suggested it and we see him next week, so I wanted to " report back. " It seems odd that that small a dose of Peptizyde would induce that reaction -- but is an extremely sensitive child. When you say 1 cap of Peptizyde with 2 meals per day -- do you mean split 1/2 with one meal and 1/2 with another -- or 1 cap with 1 meal and 1 with another? Since I posted, I've had good news and bad news. . . had a great day at school (head hitting/headache seems resolved -- and she's learning cursive!). . .but we also seem headed toward a bad seizure night. So -- I'm not sure what's happening -- as usual. Devin -- What would you recommend? Should I drop the Peptizyde for now and ramp up the Zyme Prime (she's currently taking 1 with each meal) or go with the above plan to up the Peptizyde? Appreciate your thoughts!-D > > Hello. Also consider any medications, even OTC ones, that you give her. The cucumbers, strawberries, peanut butter, and nuts would set me off, in addition to the milk, because of phenol issues. The enzymes help some kids with phenol issues, but some kids are not helped with enzymes for their phenol issues. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/phenol.htm Someone on another message board just posted yesterday that she believed her child had seizures from casein/milk products. Guest guest
I was thinking 1 whole cap with a meal, twice a day, say breakfast and supper. This is just a suggestion, you should trust your instincts on this. Devin > > > Hello.
