I wonder how many of you feel as I do that the psychological aspects of our individual environments had a lot to do with the onset of the disease. Oh sure...the genetic propensity and the bugs were there too but I think the bugs are probably prolific in lots of environments and under most circumstances a persons body does a remarkable job of fending these bugs off. But what about when you're really down emotionally? Or totally stressed out for whatever reason? Maybe you're down on yourself for some particular failure of your own or maybe somebody close to you is relentlessly down on you for what they consider a weakness or a failure and maybe you actually start to believe the bad press you're getting. At that stage, what tools does your body have at it's disposal and how functional are the tools under those circumstances? It would be interesting to compare notes with everybody. How many of you were severly emotionally depressed or terribly stressed just prior to the onset of your disease? I'll be the first to raise my hand. Of course, once the bugs have taken over(mycoplasmas or whatever) it now becomes necessary to assist the body by whatever means available (drugs, antibiotics, rest, fluids, diet, environmental harmony, etc etc) to get to the point where the body can do it on it's own like it's supposed to. Of course, those of us who are afflicted with rheumatic disease are primarily interested in how to get rid of it. But I think it is equally important to consider how to keep the body out of harm's way in the first place. Once we are all well, I think the only way we are going to stay well is to avoid the precursor environment altogether or have learned how to deal with it. Guest guest
I have done some tinkering on an ozone generator that I am happy with. I have found that the expensive models produce Ozone, and the one that I am presently working with is under $100. I hook my oxy/propane torch up and get a small steady stream of Ozone CHEAPLY. I believe that the medical ozone generators may produce more volume, however, this is a time consideration, and I have plenty of it. Clinical utilizations require a greater flow, I believe, but for home use, and expaneded availability, I believe that the small is beautiful concept will prevail. I am working on expanding the output to these levels with increased voltage too. The day of expensive ozone machines is about done. Guest guest
Hi , Could you share your plans. I have taken broken tv's monitors, etc. and have placed the high voltage anode lead 2 or 3 inches from the chassis, and produced a steady blue arc. I think this creates the same principle as the " corona discharge " method. You have to be careful not to get it too close, or the incrased current flow will burn out the high voltage section. And of course you need to be somewhat of an electronics technician, or you could get a fatal " ZAP " from the 15,000 to 40,000 volts that is pre sent there. Any suggestions, Lenny Bratcher " L. Cousins " wrote: > I have done some tinkering on an ozone generator that I am happy with. Guest guest
I am refining the process all the time. I simply started with a DC Ozone unit and have added an airflo ducting that separates the oxygen from the ozone (no aftermix). I believe that ambient O2 is sufficient instead of medical oxygen which is expensive and heavy (the tank that is). I am working to develop a portable machine that Ozonates the feet, wet, hot, stinky feet, as you walk. I am thinking small, portable, and efficient. I will report results here from time to time. Guest guest
Hi Ive been reading this reading group for a while and Id like to add what I am taking from my doctor I am on minocin 100mg 2xday;vioxx 50mg 1xday;arava 20mg aday, azulfadine entabs 500 mg 2xday,norco for pain when needed, and ambien to sleep when needed. I am given this cocktail(minocin, arava, and azulfadine) to aggressively put me into remission and it has worked. I am 100% better then I was last year. I also am taking alot of supplements and have made dietary changes per my homeopath. I think this is really the new approach if you are dealing with an arthritis. There is really no reason why you cant get pain medication. It helps in the long run. I would change doctors or begin bringing in the research that is easy to find on the internet and if you need info I would be glad to mail it to any of you. I am thankful that my doctor is sensitive to my pain and up with all the latest research. I think its really important to take control of your health care and not sit back and be silent about treatment options. I certainly feel we are all individuals and our disease effects us in different ways . Doctors are different too and there are good ones and bad ones. Please dont settle when your health and well being are suffering.... The way pain is being treated is different now also..... J

Unexplained illnesses and cancer deaths among students and teachers in the Lew-Port school system over the years have raised questions about a possible connection with the hazardous dump sites. isn't it strange that the cdc, in all the years of it's existence, has never formally established a connection between an environmental cancer hazard and the illnesses/deaths of victims who live in contaminated areas? small wonder that, some months ago, the cdc downplayed the role of stachybotrys in the deaths of several cleveland infants. does this federal agency, home of the greatest health detectives on earth, really work for the people or for government and industry? joanne ferdinando
Guest guest
There was a note about creating a group in Chicago. The Accessibilities Expo will be there next week. (http://www.abilitiesexpo.com/chicago/index.asp) Alternatives for Special Kids will be in the expo). You might consider going and meeting up there for lunch or something. The show is free. Darien C. Guest guest
Carroll We get our flaxseed oil from Vitamin World at about $8.00 per pint and use about 6 pints monthly. We find this oil to be almost tasteless. This oil is highly perishable and needs to be refrigerated. We use it also in homemade salad dressings, uncooked sauces and the like. It is a very fine oil. If your oil has a disagreeable flavor it is probably rancid from improper storage and should be discarded. Flaxseed, to be effective, need to be ground or cracked in some way, otherwise they pass right through the body without donating their incredible nutritional value. We use two to three pounds of flaxseed, ground before use, per month at about $1.25 per pound usd. Hope this helps mjh In a message dated 8/16/02 1:41:47 PM Eastern Daylight Time, writes: > Message: 4 > Date: Thu, 15 Aug 2002 12:53:34 -0700 (PDT) > From: Carrol Showalter <ColoradoCarrol@...> > Subject: Re: Digest Number 848 > > > Dear Marilyn, > Good point!
