We too have experienced seizures for the past 1 1/2 years. We chose not to try meds and have found several things that can trigger our sons seizures. (he is now 13 years old) One is constipation even for just 36 hours. He needs to go daily. Also we have have limited glutamate and especially aspartate in his diet. Foods high in aspartate will send him into a seizure within 2 hours of eating it.

We have changed his pattern of seizure activity from one seizure and or clusters of 3 -4 seizures in a 24 hour period every 2 - 3 weeks, to just one seizure in a 24 hour period anywhere from 7 - 11 weeks apart now.

We also do acupuncture therapy, massage and reflexology for him. All have been beneficial in many ways.

He is on all vitamins and organic foods, limited 95% gluten free and 100% dairy free. No meds fortunately.

for us that would mean there was gluten that snuck in somewhere, are all those suppliments gluten free?

even CC issues trigger them for our son, so we don't do ANYTHING made in the company, manufactured in, or on same lines as ect

Started having seizures

Hi Everyone,I took to the neuro and yes, he is now having seizures. Hisface slapping has gotten worse and he doesn't know his colors andshapes anymore, why? Is it a new supplement I started? Ever since Iput him on a detox supplement he has been doing this but we alsostarted him on liver support and hemp milk too. My poor little man. He is going to be six in June. How do I help him? Is there anythingto help absent seizures? His behaviors are more aggressive too. If anyone can tell me why and how to support him through this time,please let me know.Thanks so much.P.S. The older I get the more emotional I am and finding it harder todeal with all this. Does anyone else feel this way?
