You've not been here long, but you've jumped right onto what I struggled with for so long to accomplish. In my opinion, acceptance is 'key' to being able to try and deal with this. You are right... anger and being anxious doesn't fix anything. It makes things worse. Devices come with trial periods, you have nothing to lose and much to gain, if they help provide you with partial relief. Sadly, many MDs make opinions that are not founded on experience. Only opinions. This is another obstacle for those with 4S or hyperacusis or tinnitus....
