Guest guest
Goals 2004 1. To complete 3 solid BFL challenges, in which I see new results with each one. 2. To create better balance in my life between work, play, family, relationships, money, community and God. 3. To enjoy life more, and give more sincerely of myself to life and others. 4. To reduce my debt by at least 25%. 5. To tell those I love that I love them more often. Challenge 6 Goals 1. Get back to the basics...drink 72 oz of water every day (sorry about that, bladder). 2. To learn and utilize at least one new exercise in each muscle group. 3. To use the new rowing machine at our gym. 4. To reduce my body fat to at 22%. 5. To complete another four week round of Ab Boot Camp at the end of this challenge. 6. To purchase Eating For Life and learn one new recipe per week. 7. TAKE MY VITAMINS 2 TIMES EVERY DAY. (This one is so important folks) 8. To have a 27 inch waist (this one scares me =-O 9. To post an after photo to the yahoo BFL website. I created notebook for this challenge and had Kinkos spiral bind it (for $8.50). I made a copy of the above goals and put it in the front of the book, then made 16 copies each of the UB and LB workout sheets (I don't really use the nutrition or the cardio sheets). I have dated all the workout sheets. Now I can take this to the gym with me because it is easier to handle than loose pages on a clipboard. Guest guest
Hi Kelley, The 5 goals I will achieve at the end of this 12 weeks are 1. bodyfat % at 11% 2. Fit into size 32 Jeans 3. Will weigh 175lbs 4. Will gain 5lbs of new muscle 5. Will travel to Manila, attend our newly-adopted daughter's visa interview, get the visa from the embassy and bring her home (finally!) Three patterns of action I will change during this challenge are Old: Waking up late which causes me to miss a meal. New: Will get to bed earlier so that I am able to get in six meals a day. Old: Consuming too much high-glycemic carbs. New: Will consume less pasta, and rice. Will substitute baked beans and other lower-glycemic carbs for dinner. Old: Having breakfast prior to workout in the morning. New: Will have breakfast after my workout I only lost 9lbs of bodyfat during my last Challenge.. so I am desperately trying to find a solution to shed these last ten to fifteen pounds. I will be trying a new workout regimen that was designed by a personal fitness trainer on eDiets.. I'm also learning about the glycemic index which is something I haven't considered in prior Challenges. As for yearly goals: 1. Will complete my work in getting my Univesity of Washington certificate in Advanced Web Applications in June. 2. Will have a developed six-pack midsection by Dec 31, 2004 3. Will find meaningful employment in the area of Software Development sometime this year. 4. Will reach my goal weight during the year. 5. Will end the weight-loss part of my fitness endeavour, and begin the bodybuilding part. That last one is kind of scary.. I've always been a little spooked when I think about using 'free weights'. The concern is due to a back injury I had a few years ago, and I work out alone.. and don't have a spotter around to help me out when reaching a maximum intensity level. Currently, $$ are tight, and I can't afford to join a health club. Thanks for listening, --Fred > OK, January...the month of fresh commitments to ourselves...is half over and > we wouldn't want to go through this month without sharing our current goals, > now would we??? > > How about if we each post the goals we have for this challenge...and for this > year (if you feel so inclined). It is probably my 10th attempt, with only one prior success. What kills me is that I know it works, and that I have done it before, but can't seem to last 84 stinkin' days! Ok, Ok...we all know that each time we start a 12-week program, we finish it. It is more a matter of to what degree and with what consistency are we sticking to the the nutritional and exercise elements of the program. Sooooo, you have finished the 12 weeks twice....perhaps you are saying that this 12-week challenge, you are committing to seeing the full twelve weeks through with competion of exercises and follow through of nurtitional plans. Great goals! Do your best. May this be your best challenge yet! Kelley
