I started BFL Oct 2001 and today I look forward to my workouts. In fact, I can get kinda crabby if I have to miss my workout for some reason. Then, the food is so sensible. I feel good no longer eating the junk and mixing the wrong foods like I used to. (OK, I still do bad things on Free Day...but that's part of the plan! It helps me refocus for the week cuz I feel so bloated and hurt. How about posting your stats and goals to the list to get " a witness " ....and then throw a few of your menus our way and we can help you make sure it is authorized food and includes the proper balance of protein, carbs, and fats. Guest guest
Hi Kyla, Welcome to the group:) I have to say BFL is the only plan that has ever worked for me. The meal planning is basic and workouts are not easy but way better than things that I used to do, which never were that great to begin with. Congratulations on taking the first step to bettering yourself. You've come to a great place with some great people:) Good luck! May I suggest posting your meals each day. This group is really great at letting you know if you have enough carb/protein and fat to get you through:) Welcome!! leigh fl > Hi everyone my name is kyla and I just started my third week in > BFL. Guest guest
Hi Kyla, and welcome! It's great that you took your starting measurements because oftentimes that is the area where you see the most improvement. Sometimes the only thing that keeps me super motivated is to see those measurements shrinking (since the scale doesn't always reflect your true progress). Your menu looks just great too, so keep up the good work and keep checking in with us here. The support is absolutely essential! Lowfat is recommended. Lunch is usually a small sandwich turkey, with all the veggies i can fit and mustard Try to avoid deli turkey. I get turkey cutlets and bake or poach them and then slice it for sandwiches. Less sodium that way. Bread needs to be that good whole wheat stuff. Lots of veggies and mustartd...big thumbs up! Dinner grilled chicken ( or small piece of steak )a baked potato and a salad GOOD Snack might be either yogurt with cottage cheese or nutrition shake sometimes a salad I ABSOLUTELY LOVE COTTAGE CHEESE AND DANNON LITE AND FIT SUGAR FREE YOGURT. FOR A BALANCED PROTEIN CARB RATIO, I DO ABOUT 3/4 CP CC AND 1/2 CONTAINER (3 OZ) OF YOGURT. A FEW ALMOND ACCENTS ADDS A NICE CRUNCH. LOOKS GOOD SO FAR. REMEMBER TO EAT EVERY 2-3 HOURS. AND GET IN YOUR WATER. IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT FOR FLUSHING OUT THE FAT CELLS THAT THE BODY IS EXPELLING. Boring I know but this is all so new to me so I've been sticking with the basics until I was more comfortable. YEAH, GOOD IDEA. BETTER TO START WITH WHAT IS MANAGEABLE THAN TO OVERWHELM YOURSELF RIGHT OUT OF THE PROGRAM. as far as stats .....today I'm going to have my bofy fat tested ....but I am 5'11' wiegh 195 right now my measure ments are 38' bust .....waist 33' .....hips (i'm not sure if I'm measuring right ) 43 3/4 " thighs ( at fat part ) 26 " and calves at 17 3/4 " I working on getting some photos up here pretty soon GO TO WWW.BODY-FOR-LIFE-TRACKER.COM AND SET UP A PROFILE. YOU CN EVEN DOWNLOAD YOUR PICTURES THERE. IT IS VERY COOL. GOOD JOB. NOW...HOW ABOUT THOSE EXERCISES? KELLEY C6W8D4
