I agree with this, for our son age 2 - 4 were the hardest for us, my son screamed all the time and had unbelieveable tantrums. he has been in non stop early intervention programs and cold liver oil since 3 and we are finally reaping the benifits at almost 6 years old.

I wanted to write a quick note to the many people on this board who have children 3 years and under like Eli below. I think it may be discouraging that you’ve been doing so much for a year now but feel like you are seeing little results. As someone who has an 8-year old ASD son, please be aware that from age 2 to 4 is typically a time that things get really, really bad for many ASD children. From my experience it comes from them wanting to communicate but being unable, massive frustration with wanting to figure out the world but being unable, and the onset of numerous anxieties that didn’t exist for a 1 year old. The fact that your children are NOT getting worse is a really big deal – be pleased for this. You have started early and are vigilant and you will reap the rewards in the long term. Please hang in there and

do not give up. Again, in our experience, our son got better just from getter older and being better able to grasp the world around him so do bear this in mind.

Hang in there!

Hi everyone-I am new to the group and this is my first post. My son (Asher) is 2 1/2 and was diagnosed with ASD 1 year ago. We have been doing Biomeds and GF/CF for a year with minimal to no results. We are trying to start a more complicated diet, such as an anti-yeast or the SCD but we have one very major problem, our son only finger feeds. He Hates spoons, nothing scares him more.I was wondering if anyone else has a child who only fingure feeds and if they found a way to get them to accept a spoon, or if not, what finger foods they feed their children that are legal for the SCD or an anti-yeast diet.Any suggestions would be greatly aprreciatedThanksEli
