I feel as sensitivity beings it is our obligation and duty give these poor souls a voice. It is cruel. If you contact the rescue groups be anonymous that way the neighbors won't know who it was and you have saved a suffering soul. I have yelled at many neighbors for throwing things at a possum that passes through. They think I am crazy but at the same time they must realized it is not OK to hurt a defenseless animal.
