Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I just read through my previous post about my " club med " stay. Here's an update. First of all, I posted that my RBC count was elevated. It was actually low, along with the Albumin, and the Hemoglobin. Any thoughts on this? The DR. didn't seem very concerned about it. I'm still having a little bit of the confusion, but not nearly as bad. It just takes my thought process a little longer, before I can complete a sentence. I hope I never go through the severe confusion again. It was soooo frustrating! I called my GI the next day, and asked why I was being sent to an infectious disease doc, and I was told that he never wrote the referral for that. The nurse that discharged me, was a true witch, and she is the one that wrote the discharge order for me to see an infectious disease doc. I called today, and had the ERCP postponed until november 16th. I want to give my body a chance to heal before going through that. Unfortunately though, I'll have my PICC line out by then, and will have to get a regular IV. I'm going to ask for them to surgically implant a central line (on my chest near the heart, don't remember the correct term for this), so I won't have to lose any more of my precious veins. My arms are bruised everywhere, and very hard from where IV's have infiltrated. Along with the remainder of the cholangitis infection, I'm now battling thrush, and another yeast infection from the IV antibiotic. It's very painful to eat, or even drink, so I'm hoping the meds for this will start working soon. (Diflucan). The hospital didn't give me prenatal vitamins while I was there, so I have the sores on the corners of my mouth again. <sigh> How are ya'll doing? <smile> Love,
