What Glitter is saying about commercial dog foods is true. Several months ago I came across a link that outlined the ingredients in most dry and canned dog foods. I was shocked, absolutely shocked at what is put in them ... including a blood spray to make them crave more. Yes, dead animals are included. I sent this info to 'several' people, Glitter included. I lost this link when I switched servers. I'm asking a friend right now if she happened to save it.

In the meantime, make sure you are NOT feeding chicken, chicken by-products and corn. Dogs do NOT digest corn. The chicken by-products are disgusting .... beaks, feet, and such. Now how can that be nutritional???

Lamb and rice is the best. Stay away from bone marrow and beef too.

I know the store manager of a large pet chain. He told me to purchase Nature's choice, not Nutro, lamb and rice.

If I locate the article I will forward it to you. I hope your furry friend gets better. Probably a diet issue where his body is screaming for nutrition.

Just me....... Jan

i feed him commercial dog food. There are ingredients in commercial dog food that are horrible for dogs. IAMS and Science Diet and of course Purina are the worst things you could feed your dog. You must have a pet store in your town -- see if they carry the Wellness formula -- that's all organic and human grade food. Commercial dog foods often contain diseased cats and dogs that have been euthanized. You wouldn't stuff like that, and your dog probably doesn't want to eat it either!!! My dog also was dx'd with "hepatic lipidosis" -- vetspeak for fatty liver. That's why he had to take the milk thistle and other liver supporting nutrients. I know you love your dog so try to feed him the best food you can; it's not that much more expensive.
