Guest guest
Wow, I can imagine the anxiety this must be causing you. Just stay calm, and remember you can always have the option to go the emergency room if you need to. And it is better to be safe than sorry. I would call up a friend or family member and have them come over (maybe spend the night), and be calm, but have someone ready to take you to the emergency room if you decide you want to. I am sure they can take an xray or something real quick and put your mind at ease. Though I know everyone hates dealing with the hassle of the ER and insurance and all that. But please be safe rather than sorry. ~ > > > hi friends, > > I have a very weird situation and wondered if anyone had ever had this or has any advice!? I'm having a good bit of pain the bottom of the lung area from a pill that I'm guessing may have gone down in the lungs--is that possible--the pain is just over the bottom of the sturnum, could that be my food pipe after all? sorry, just don't know if there's anything that can be done--I'm pretty sure it was an ox bile pill..... > > thanks if you do..... > > Debbie >

Guest guest
Dear Debbie, Also, I don't want to add to your worries, but I would be scared that ox bile might damage the lungs or something. If you think something is in your lungs, maybe you should go to the ER as soon as you can? I'll be praying for you, and I will talk to you when you overcome this problem! ~ > > > hi friends, > > I have a very weird situation and wondered if anyone had ever had this or has any advice!? Guest guest
Oh, and call your doctor if you have one. I think this totally counts as a fair use of his emergency phone number, if he has one. ~ > > > > > > hi friends, > > > > I have a very weird situation and wondered if anyone had ever had this or has any advice!? Guest guest
Hi Debbie,I'm no doc, but the idea of a pill sitting down in the bottom of a lung seems improbable. Lungs aren't like big empty balloon; they are more like upsidedown spongy 'trees' of many alveoli and I would think that a pill could maybe go down a bronchial tube but not get beyond into the actual lobes of the lungs. Sometimes pain in the area you describe is actually referred pain, from gall bladder or liver congestion. Have you been detoxing well enough? With Christmas and all, have you been eating things that could have tipped the balance for your gall bladder? We Lymies have burdened liver/GB issues, so it doesn't take much to push them over the edge. Sometimes the referred pain can be across the upper back or the right shoulder, too.If the pill was an ox bile pill, that could be having some sort of effect on your liver, although i don't know about what ox bile does exactly. I do know it relates to the liver and to the liver's job of bile production so that might mean something.Hope this passes and your New Year is better,Be well,Lénahi friends,I have a very weird situation and wondered if anyone had ever had this or has any advice!? Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I wish I could offer you some good advice, but I have no idea about this... Will it not dissolve on its own? If this continues, please seek medical attention just to be sure it will resolve itself or perhaps need some kind of intervention... Take care, Jim > > > hi friends, > > I have a very weird situation and wondered if anyone had ever had this or has any advice!? Guest guest
Hi friends, thanks so much for your concern and I'm sorry I didn't give an update sooner! And thanks you for your immediate posts about this and good advice....it made me really think it through.....as most of us have had to do alot, and because I don't have insurance for an emergency room visit....I was very hesitant to do that right away, but I finally drove to one and sat in the lobby for an hour thinking this would be a good place to wait to see if it got worse or better--a couple posts on the internet helped my thinking too--it wasn't putting me in sharp stabbing so much I can't breathe pain--so I tried eating more first before I waited at the ER. I think what helped the most was asking myself if it was the lungs, why wasn't I hurting more with breaths? I realized the place that hurt and burned was in the center right over or under the sternum bone in between the breasts. Initially I thought, well that's not the stomach, its to the left. But then looking for a chart of the esophagus I saw that its' a straight gullet all the way down to the breatbone, then turning left with a valve into the stomach. So what I felt was probably just like bad heartburn!! Eating and drinking more then pain got somewhat better and I reasoned the ox bile capsule has broken upen and the bile as just sort of burning amd sticking to the esophagus! So using our heads, as we have all had to do turned out to be what God was directing me to do in this case and glad I avoided the ER visit in this case, lol I laugh at myself and lack of knowledge of anatomy! but it is hard,to know, we of all people know our bodies can't stand anymore insults too our health!! Blessing and thanks all! Debbie Re: Advice for Pain in Lungs from Misswallowed Pill? Hi Debbie, I wish I could offer you some good advice, but I have no idea about this...
