Yes. I was flipping channels and stopped at ESPN and they broke in and told

of Walter's death. Did he die waiting for a liver or did I hear someone say

he refused his chances at livers?

I can't even explain my initial feeling and I didn't even know the guy. It,

quite honestly, scares me.

Well, aside from the fact that organs are woefully scarce, some of the

reports are saying that he developed cancer of the bile ducts. If

that's true, it would explain both why his condition worsened so

quickly, and why he didn't recieve a transplant. As I understand it,

they don't transplant if cancer is detected. Someone correct me if

that's incorrect...

I to heard about the passing of Walter Payton. This really upset Mike and I

a great deal. You mentioned cancer and a transplant. When they thought they

saw a mass(tumor) in Mikes liver I was told that if it was Cancer it all

depended on what type as to whether or not he might be eliminated for a

transplant . Fortunately that was not the case for us. Please let me know

if anyone hears about where flowers can be sent. Many thanks Lynn
