I went to Kirkman site, here is the ingredient list

Ingredients: Distilled water, magnesium sulfate USP, glycerine,

glyceryl dilaurate, glyceryl stearate, PEG 100 stearate, ceteary

alcohol, ceteareth-20, isopropyl myristate, methyl paraben, and propyl

paraben.

I don't have any epsom salts here, can you read the ingredient list of

what is in your epsom salts and see what is same and/or different?

The Kirkman site also says

While some individuals with documented sulfation problems have found

some benefit from taking the sulfur-containing enzyme MSM, it appears

that sulfate ions are not as well absorbed from the intestinal tract

as they are through the skin. This may be why parents and physicians

are seeing more significant benefits from transdermal administration

through epsom salt baths or magnesium sulfate cream.

I bought MSM to try for my son's phenol issues. I tried it first with

another of my children who has same food issues as my autistic son but

none of the nasty behaviors for reactions. She had major diarrhea and

two days of general fussiness with MSM, even with enzymes, so I have

not tried it with my autistic son. The ingredient for this is

Methyl-sulfonyl-methane [MSM]

Here is the Kirkman link if anyone wants to read it. It is very long,

so you will have to copy and paste it together.

I just ran and got my box. It list only Magnesium Sulfate

Heptahydrate. This is a different brand than I've bought before. I

assumed the ingredients would be the same. Am I wrong?

Anyway, lot of extra " stuff " in the cream as you can see....

I know we have a recipe or two or three on this board somewhere I can

did up. I know one doctor had said you can mix up a paste and put it

under a bandaid for the child to wear. What does anyone think about

dissolving some epsom salts pretty densely and just mixing it in a

lotion you already use. I have some hand lotions and wondered if I

could just mix the salts with this for a topical cream? I want to use

a topical instead of supps as well.
