Guest guest
Phil is just the opposite he eats like a pig. (He's careful about what he eats though). He has only put on about 5 lbs since his colangitis attacks. He's still down 10 lbs from his normal weight. (You know where those 10 lbs are? - - On me!). I've noticed that a lot of the people in the group have problems eating or lack of interest in eating. Peg Marcy wrote: Hi there, I just got 's latest LFT numbers. Not sure how to react. I have seen his counts be much worse but I have also seen them much better. They are all in the high critical stages again. I think the scariest one is the alk phos at 987. His Bili is total 48 and direct is 18.4 and indirect is 29.6. His AST is 653. Not very good numbers but like I said I have seen worse. He is also saying that other than having URQ pain he is not feeling bad. I have noticed he tires very easily and he is not eating very well. Anyone with a teen age son knows that they usually eat you out of house and home and then proceed to the home as well *grin*. I am so glad you finally have some light at the end of the tunnel !! I have been following most of the threads but find that trying to keep a child healthy and work and go to school are starting to take it's toll. I have little time to write back to anyone. I want to let you all know that I am always thinking of you and pray for you each every night. I feel like I have found a second family. Love to you all and I will try to write more often. Guest guest
Hi Peg! I just happen to be in the category of gaining weight -- I think. I have some bouts with not eating as food nauseates me, but then my stomach gives me a fit! I have been drinking milk and soda crackers -- that is what my mother said my father ate (doctor orders) many, many years ago and it cured his ulcers! I am beginning to believe her. When I eat this my nausea and hurting subsides some! Just another old-fashioned remedy for ulcers!! Hugs, Biddy Re: APPETITEPhil is just the opposite he eats like a pig.
