Guest guest
I'm a mom of a 10 yo with 4s. I found a program called Integrated Listening Systems (ILS) that claimed would help with sound sensitivity as well as a host of other sensory and anxiety symptoms. I have not tried it, but was wondering if anyone had an opinion on its potential to help for 4s sufferers. Check out it's website www.integratedlistening.com/ and be sure to read the Science - how ILS works page. Basically the program is prescribed listening to specially recorded classical music (much of it Mozart) through bone conduction head phones, as well as integrating visual and balancing exercises designed to re-train sensory systems to work together better. The company claims impressive results including calming automatic anxious fight or flight reactions. I'd love to hear the thoughts of some of you experienced adult 4s sufferers as well as from anyone who has a scientific background in the brain and sensory/auditory systems. The cost of the program includes buying the equipment as well as sessions with a trained ILS practitioner which can run upwards to one or two thousand dollars for the equipment alone. Thanks in advance to those of you who take a look!
