Guest guest
Here's another one of those garbled questions while I wait for the enzymes to arrive (and given Canada Post, that may be a while -- other Canucks on the board will understand!): I've just rediscovered Karyn Seroussi's book and realized it's the same book I stumbled across in a bookstore over a year ago. It was my first encounter with gfcf and terrified me to my soul! On one of the links from her website, she mentions hypothyroidism as one thing many parents of Special Needs kids have. I've mentioned in other posts that I'm RH negative (hence had Rhogam shots), and now I have to confess that I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease about six months before the birth of my second child who is developmentally delayed. Can any of you tell me what the connection is between hypothyroidism and developmental disorders? Not a single professional has breathed a word about it, although I faithfully reported it at each new assessment for my daughter. And (no such things as stupid questions, right?) would enzymes have any bearing on my condition? Gail PS It is indeed an extraordinary coincidence that ER's supports autism research. Did anyone see the ER episode last season slamming parents who choose not to immunize? I wonder what Mr. thought of that script....
