Guest guest
Jas, A lot of people find it more motivating to set long term goals such as loose a specific amount of weight, get to a specific clothes size, lower their cholesterol a certain amount of points. Try to be specific, instead of saying you figure you can loose 20 to 30 pounds... have your goal be, I WILL loose 25 lbs in 12 weeks. I WILL reduce my pants size to ____ in 12 weeks. I personally have never set any specific long term goals and I am doing just fine. I guess different things work for different people. I have a very general goal in mind (I would like to be around 130 lbs some time in the near future) lol... > I am starting back on BFL tommorow. Is it best to write my goals for > the long term tonight? My immediate goals are 1) eat 6 clean meals > per day 2) eat 6 days clean 3) complete the workout as written. Guest guest
One of the habits common to many successful people is writing specific goals with a very specific date and re-reading those day and night to remind themselves of the goal. I encourage you to do this .. but go beyond just writing your goals. Try to incorporate reasons WHY you should achieve those goals and how you intend to attack them. Here is an article that has a goals-contract attached that might be of use: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/likness11.htm > I am starting back on BFL tommorow.
