Hey Kirk!

Me too! I was off for quite a while. Trying to get back in here and

offer some support!

Hope you are doing well. Still coaching? How are the boys?

I'm dealing with a strange rash that acts up about every 2 weeks! odd,

and they are no longer making my Gold shots, so he bumped me down to the oral

version, which I hope will hold me OK since I am a bit better these days.

Managing anyway!

And my back is killing me! Had an MRI and have a herniation and some

bulging discs, but what else is new??? LOL

post when you can!

Kids are doing great...as a matter of fact (my oldest (13)) IS

ALREADY 5'10 " or so and right around 200 lbs. He applied to & was

accepted/is attending the Milton Hershey School since the end of January

and with a little luck he'll graduate from there. It is hard not to have

him home all of the time, but getting into this school is akin to hitting

the lottery. When you graduate high school from there he will have

$84,500.00 in a college fund..all from the school. His grades have always

been great (Nat Honors society) and now he has every possible opportunity

to do what he wants (school wise) at the tip of his fingers.

I guess there is at least one good thing about me being disabled, as you

have to be pretty damn broke to get in down there...LOL! The only problem

now is that on (10 yrs old and damn near 5'6 " already...in a size

11.5 shoe!) wants to be @ Hershey in the worst way, but I know my wife

can't handle both of them being out of the house this quickly.

We were just down to visit for my Birthday (3-3) and I got nailed

hard Saturday night and don't remember most of Sunday...but that's my

life....He'll be coming home this weekend for the 1st time since he started

there. In a full year they only get 5 " free " weekends that they can use to

go home or spend time away from the school. They also get 10 days for

Thanksgiving & Easter, 2 weeks for Christmas, long weekends for holidays

(only if their grades and attitude allow) and than they get 6 weeks off for

the summer. the untouchable part is the educational opportunity in front of

him, the world is really wide for him now,and the sky is the limit. He is

working on getting back into shape as he wants to be able to start on the

Varsity football team as a Freshman next semester. I know he has the

ability and the talent, but I told him he is competing against 60-70 other

kids now and if he wants to start he had better get into the best shape of

his life. He joined track and that started this week. I'll start him

lifting weights when he gets home in June, but I told him he can get much

of the same benefit by doing hundreds of push-ups & sit-ups per

day.....Hell,it worked for Herschel , so there is no reason it can't

work for him.

Oh well, have to try and get some damn sleep. I still can't sleep worth

a damn @ night, yet once the sun comes up I can snooze all damn day! I also

am never hungry during the day but starve at night!!! Not much else is

different here....I am doing better than I was but nowhere near where I had

hoped to be.

Catch you later, Kirk.

PS...I sometimes only check my email 2-4 times per month, so if I don't

reply quick, don't think I am ignoring you. I just have become pretty

burned out with the amount of emails I get and such.

Later Hope you get somewhere with your back. I was laid up for close to

2 years until they put in that morphine pump implant. My back is still a

mess, and always will be, but at least I can stand up most of the time now.
