Guest guest
No Its not well known in the uk at all is it. I only just found out by chance, when reading thru a womans website, what my problem was. I can't handle all sorts of noises. They include; Noisy breathing, Noisy eating, The sound of someone swallowing a drink, burping, someone clicking their fingers or cracking their knuckles by pulling their fingers, newspapers and crisp packets etc and coughing!!! I could easily throw a brick through our patio window or hack someones head off when I hear these noises!!! Thought I was going mad. There are some repetitive movements I can't bear to see either!!! Shirl > >Not well known here at all. I underwent years of not having a diagnosis (I am self-diagnosed), and in that time saw hearing specialists, psychologists, GPs...I had a brain scan and even got assessed at a psychiatric hospital. It was only when my uncle (who ironically worked in Canada) found something in the Toronto Star that I started looking at hyperacusis, and then on down to 4S. > >, Hull. > > > >> To: Soundsensitivity >> From: meghan.dooks@... >> Date: Tue, 14 Dec 2010 18:36:30 +0000 >> Subject: Re: Is anyone from Saskatchewan? >> >> Is misophonia well known in the UK? It seems the other large portion of misophonia sufferers come from there as well, and I wonder if that's b/c there's more awareness of it there. Also, when I google " misophonia " UK misophonia website always comes right up... Just curious! >> >> >> > >> >> > >> Kansas City for me. >> > >> >> > >> >> > >> >> > >> >> > >> ________________________________ >> > >> From: " courtneydalrymple@ " <dalrymple32@> >> > >> To: Soundsensitivity >> > >> Sent: Mon, December 13, 2010 11:47:59 PM >> > >> Subject: Is anyone from Saskatchewan? >> > >> >> > >>  >> > >> I noticed that someone posted a thread asking if anyone here was from Halifax, >> > >> it made me want to find someone that lives close to me.
