Guest guest
Somewhere on the lists I read that one soaper said that sugar dissolved in scrubs. I thought how does it do that? I know it will dissolve in boiling water and iced tea. Last evening I placed equal parts of sugar and oil in some cups ... I plan to compare over a weeks time any change in the granules. I used brown sugar, white sugar and turbinado sugar. The turbinado has very large grains. I use it in a sugar/salt foot scrub not sure I would like to use these rather sharp edged grains on anything but my feet. For the whole body I think not ... for hand only maybe. Does anyone make an emulsified sugar scrub? Care to discuss what you used or some of the pitfalls to be aware of. I have a few weeks (hopefully) to play before the grandbabies arrive and I am eager to experiment. Guest guest
Bobbi, I tried turbinado sugar in an emulsified scrub and found that the sugar did dissolve and the application was sticky. I didn't care for it. Cyndi

Guest guest
Hi Bobbi, When I make salt scrubs I use a hard butter, like cocoa, shea, sal, etc. You just have to experiment as to how much you want to use to get to the consistency you like. It works great. Gigi Black --- Bobbi Guerra wrote: > Does anyone make an emulsified sugar scrub? Care to > discuss what you used or some of the pitfalls to be > aware of.
