Guest guest
I am determined to find a doctor who has heard of Misophonia, and I think I may have found someone! She is actually in the same group (but different office) that I went to when I had an audiogram. It was late last night (or was it this morning?) when I found a website that listed doctors by regions who have experience with our disorder. She is Diane Duddy, Au.D. in St. Louis, MO. Has anyone ever heard of her? Anyway, before I try and set up an appointment, I want to be able to arm myself with as much as I can to make the visit go as productively as possible. I know that I want to make my records from my audiogram (both the one in her affiliated office and a completely unaffiliated hospital) available to her at the time of the appointment - in addition to Misophonia (self diagnosed, as many of us are), I have also been professionally diagnosed with Otosclerosis (one of the bones in my ear - most likely the stapes - is fused in place and does not move normally in reaction to sound waves. Additional things I want to bring with me and/or talk to her about: -NY Times article -Link to the video clip from the Today Show -A written down description of my triggers and how they have affected my daily life -A history of the doctors I have seen and what they have said/diagnosed Is there anything else you all would recommend I bring or talk to her about? Thank you in advance for your input!
