Guest guest
If I have to explain my noise sensitivity, I say I have a sensory overload problem and have trouble tuning out background noises, its like ADD but the treatments for ADD don't help me. Most people are willing to accept this kind of explanation I just don't get into the whole selective sound explanation, because it generally causes more trouble than it is worth. For then I automatically am perceived as "intolerant"I've had problems being able to get people to understand what I deal with and to get help. Because I can't put a 'recognized' name on it, they tend not to believe me. I hope in my lifetime all this will be worked out and I can be understood has having 'ABC' disorder. -Randall
