Hi all,

 

I know I have been away awhile but I promise it has been for good reason.

 

I just wanted to drop by and wish everyone happy holidays because I don't know

if I will get the chance later since things are hopefully gonna get " real crazy "

areound here for awhile.

 

Some of you know that my husband and I are in the middle of the red tape

nightmare that is adopting a US infant from the child protective services system

(our son to be is 6 months old already at this point) I haven't posted about it

because for awhile there alot of things could have gone very very wrong and I

could not have delt with having to tell everyone it fell through.

 

To make a REAL long story short we are adopting a relative's baby that was born

drug addicted and he has been in foster care since he left the hospital at 3

days old. We have been getting regular visits with him and keep in constant

contact with CPS as well as his foster parents. Orginally we were seeing him

monthly but now we see him weekly and have even had unsupervised visits at home.

We got him for thanksgiving so he was able to spend his first holiday with his

family.

 

We are hoping we will have him home " forever " around the 15th of December but

that date is not solid all the state can promise me is I will have him at home

before christmas.

 

Obviously for any new parents this would be a stressful time and a little crazy,

add still's to it and it makes for a nice comedy. Plus I am still working full

time and this is cold/flu season so I am SUPER busy.

 

I apologize for not posting more and getting so far behind in everyone elses

posting but I am just going non stop getting stuff done until I finally

collapase and then start it all over again. My rheumy even doubled my kineret

(so I take 2 kineret injections every morning) plus still doing MTX...he hopes

boosing my meds will give me the extra " oomph " needed to get me through the next

few crazy months of bringing home a baby while balancing the remainder of flu

season....Oh, I forgot to mention that we had just built a house and moved into

it just as all of this was going on and had to have the house " perfect " for the

homestudy....yep, that's right 8 weeks after closing on the house I ws completly

unpacked, decorated, send my two girls off to college and then designed a

nursery, decorated and put it all togather to have the perfect magazine photo

shoot type home for the home study...yep, now you see why I kept " flaring "

 

 

Now that the nursery is done and I am amazingly unpacked and settled in about a

year ahead of schedule, all the christmas presents are bought .... I can FINALLY

relax some and enjoy a little " me " time and alot of " us " time for me and my

hubby before the baby comes home in a couple of weeks I hope I can get cought up

alittle with al lof ya'll!!!!
