Guest guest
For this reason a Roux-en-Y is performed. Aubrey, If the doctors did this on dx. of PSC couldn't we stop the disease and allow the liver to heal itself ? Barb

Guest guest
When you said " immune reaction has begun " are you saying that there is some type of misfiring that allows the liver to attack itself or is it that the type of cancer is so strong that the immune system can't respond? If the immune system is misfiring then are we saying a weakness in our chemical makeup? Lynn

I do realise that not all will be as lucky as I have been. But there is hope. " Aubrey we appreciate all your medical advice (for those who are new and might not know Aubrey is a post tx patient, and also a doctor, and an avid outdoors man. You do give us hope for a better life and it's good to hear from you and the others that have come out on the good side of this disease. Thanks. (And sorry that I'm sending multiple answers instead of combining into one post but it's the easiest for me right now with my on going muscle strain problem that makes it impossible for me to sit much).
