Could very well be a lie. My mom lied about this kind of stuff all

the time- even tried to break up her mother's marriage by saying her

mom's husband tried to sleep with her. I think she did it to have my

grandmother all to herself.

I believed all of her crazy stories when I was young- assaults,

rapes, stalkers, you name it- she was the most " victimized " person on

the planet.

We take our moms at face value until we become old enough to question

their lies and manipulations. I'm still amazed sometimes about all

the crap I bought into.
