I will be open  6 yrs June 1I made a bunch of changes in the last 6mo  I may be doing better than my usual fragile state, financially but I am too cautious to tell  For a few months things have been  ok   money wise Now that I typed that      I am  sure it is over.

   For al l this fall things were really miserable alot of the time.  My emr  crashed 15times a day literally AND  the autosave  would not save the notes. grr  -I got a server in the office now on a great  little device to move its monitor up and down and all around.(ergo direct.com)

 I got the server-just a desktop guy--

becasue I have a virtual MA who commutes to work by logmein and  helps me out  a few hrs a week.  Many challenges to train him.  I work off the laptop  but it would not talk to the server without a lot of trouble for a long time.MAny many computer  guy visits and emr support calls.  Still a few loose ends but  god was that awful for weeks.

 Loss of  a few docs in this town this fall so I just stuiffed the practice  While I was hiring the MA .while I got a server Which would NOT talk to the laptop While I took on eprescribing.oh and I had to move  My landlord retired I moved downstairs and have a bigger really nice space but had to  do the   where  do I put this and that , and  tell every patient  and get a cleanign lady scale and  wheelchair stuff I had shared  before.

Oh and the heat did not work for much of January becasue the  new guy upstairs put a box in the  wrong place and shut it off.

January. In Maine.Endless new people - all old complicated and exhausting I got a new biller still I like outside billing and she is a coder,  but I changed to haveing more control than I had before and this is looking to  finally work out but many adventures int he last 6mo there also

I  have interviewed for and gotten to be a doc who does workman;s compensation cases for the state- not the  usual visits for a workers comp injury but in contested cases folks going up before the Board .Had to be interveiwed by lawyers. I get 200.00 when the patietn   does not   show up and I get 300/hr for up to 5 hrs work then I forget  after that ONly one of those so far -  took me 3 hrs to sort it out  It is complicated but well  paid  Few of these are around and fewer in my area but still  abit of  work from this

I have a very strange practice that I do not  understand  Lots of patients  over 1.000 registered but they do not  come in Sometimes they come in all at onec e and nearly kill me I am sure there is more

  It has  been a tough few monthsI think the practice continues on ok   I have good HYH numbers,  MAine care tells me I   save them a bazillion dollars becasue I take low cost good  not in the er care of people They sned me a pittance of what I save them but do reward good work. I will do an evisits with a digital photo or a skype visit to keep them out of the  er

 I have stuffed the practice  lately  ignoring panel size numbers and taking haldol on the day they all call at once.But If I do not  stuff i languish None of the   written about open access tuff formuals work here.

 I forget what else Buncha changesJean  I coud sned a phot of the office space  later.It is really nice I can strecth out my arms now and not touch  anything. I have no paper harldy Still sam e  simple  phone  and answering machine, and allinone plus little printer for scripts same  as since day 1.

oh and just to be complete--  did I  tell you  the hard rive i n my laptop- which was ALL  i had at the time , died? I got that blue screen scarey thing.   yes.  5 days before iMP camp,for which I sorta needed the power point thing with t he music .... ON a weekend. .Now, I live 1 hr from the nearest possible place to really get a computer other than walmart. So I could have driven for hrs  them mozy pro'd back up onto a new thing oh that seemed like loads of fun-

so I got the son of the computer  guy to get me a new hard drive, fast, one Friday night and I spent hrs  with him, Hrs and hrs.  he saved all my data  that wonderful guy but for months I could not find anything Even now some itunes tunes are  god knows where

 I had all this  documents/jean/my documents/jean/documents     repetition of stuff  I felt like i had come home to my own house where  someone had movrd all the spoons and the socks  around,  I coudl not find anything

 I still do not  have a micorphone anymore -have to  plug in the head set and I think something else also happened IT was like ALice in wonderlandThank god for  kleenex huh?ALso many IMPS tried valiantly and often did help me or at least were nice to me, whici sometimes was as good as actual help  though if they had just COME OVER and rescued me! notably Lou and Don and LYnn who appear to understand electricity and were very nice to me.

On the Services Page, I mis-read this

statement under “No Insurance”: Do inquire by

phone or email. You might want to change “do”

to “Please” and add “for more information” at the end

of the sentence.

On the Take a Tour Page, under “internet

checkup” there are lots of punctuation errors – missing periods,

spaces needed after commas, etc. I also didn’t see an intake form

in your new patient forms, just policies and a signature page. Do you

have a form for collecting address, phone #, emails, insurance, etc?

I made a bunch of changes in the last 6mo I may be doing better than my

usual fragile state, financially but I am too cautious to tell For a few

months things have been ok money wise Now that I typed that

I am sure it is over.

For al l this fall things were really miserable alot of the

time. My emr crashed 15times a day literally AND the

autosave would not save the notes. grr

-I got a server in the office now on a great little device to move

its monitor up and down and all around.(ergo direct.com)

I got the server-just a desktop guy-- becasue I have a virtual MA who

commutes to work by logmein and helps me out a few hrs a week.

Many challenges to train him. I work off the laptop but it would

not talk to the server without a lot of trouble for a long time.MAny many

computer guy visits and emr support calls. Still a few loose ends

but god was that awful for weeks.

Loss of a few docs in this town this fall so I just stuiffed the

practice While I was hiring the MA .while I got a server Which would NOT

talk to the laptop While I took on eprescribing.oh and I had to move My

landlord retired I moved downstairs and have a bigger really nice space but had

to do the where do I put this and that , and tell

every patient and get a cleanign lady scale and wheelchair stuff I

had shared before.

Oh and the heat did not work for much of January becasue the new guy

upstairs put a box in the wrong place and shut it off.

January. In Maine.

Endless new people - all old complicated and exhausting

I got a new biller still I like outside billing and she is a coder, but I

changed to haveing more control than I had before and this is looking to

finally work out but many adventures int he last 6mo there also

I have interviewed for and gotten to be a doc who does workman;s

compensation cases for the state- not the usual visits for a workers comp

injury but in contested cases folks going up before the Board .Had to be

interveiwed by lawyers. I get 200.00 when the patietn does not

show up and I get 300/hr for up to 5 hrs work then I forget after that

ONly one of those so far - took me 3 hrs to sort it out It is

complicated but well paid Few of these are around and fewer in my

area but still abit of work from this

I have a very strange practice that I do not understand Lots of

patients over 1.000 registered but they do not come in Sometimes

they come in all at onec e and nearly kill me

I am sure there is more

It has been a tough few months

I think the practice continues on ok I have good HYH numbers,

MAine care tells me I save them a bazillion dollars becasue I take

low cost good not in the er care of people They sned me a pittance of

what I save them but do reward good work. I will do an evisits with a digital

photo or a skype visit to keep them out of the er

I have stuffed the practice lately ignoring panel size

numbers and taking haldol on the day they all call at once.But If I do

not stuff i languish None of the written about open access tuff

formuals work here.

I forget what else Buncha changes

oh and just to be complete--  did I  tell you  the hard rive i n my laptop- which was ALL  i had at the time , died? I got that blue screen scarey thing.   yes.  5 days before iMP camp,for which I sorta needed the power point thing with t he music .... ON a weekend. .Now, I live 1 hr from the nearest possible place to really get a computer other than walmart. So I could have driven for hrs  them mozy pro'd back up onto a new thing oh that seemed like loads of fun-

so I got the son of the computer  guy to get me a new hard drive, fast, one Friday night and I spent hrs  with him, Hrs and hrs.  he saved all my data  that wonderful guy but for months I could not find anything Even now some itunes tunes are  god knows where

 I had all this  documents/jean/my documents/jean/documents     repetition of stuff  I felt like i had come home to my own house where  someone had movrd all the spoons and the socks  around,  I coudl not find anything

 I still do not  have a micorphone anymore -have to  plug in the head set and I think something else also happened IT was like ALice in wonderlandThank god for  kleenex huh?ALso many IMPS tried valiantly and often did help me or at least were nice to me, whici sometimes was as good as actual help  though if they had just COME OVER and rescued me! notably Lou and Don and LYnn who appear to understand electricity and were very nice to me.
